Each year, we gather up items that can be sold or raffled off. These items are either donated or hand-made by our awesome residents! This day is always a wonderful gathering of family and friends with live music and entertainment.
Last year, we had a successful Christmas raffle where the proceeds went to local charities in our area in Oakville, ON.
2. Holiday Baking & Bake Sale
The holidays just aren’t the holidays without some holiday baking! Our staff and residents always enjoy baking treats for the season. We get to enjoy some of these treats, while others are prepared and sold in our bake sale.
3. Ornament Making, Holiday Crafts, & Christmas Decorating
Holiday decorations always make our Oakville retirement home more festive. Leading up to the holidays, our residents and staff are busy decorating and making the residence as beautiful as ever.
What makes the décor even more special is that some of them are made by the residents themselves! From wreaths that are hung on their doors, to ornaments that decorate our trees, our seniors have a hand in it all.
4. Weekly Holiday Activities
Aside from major events, we always have weekly activities that get us in the holiday spirit. Our residents look forward to these themed activities on different days of the week, including:
